Job summary

Outwood Grange Academies Trust is seeking a Regional Finance Assistant in Wakefield to support transactional accounting across the trust. Initially based at Outwood Grange Academy, you will work under Finance Managers to ensure accurate ledgers and timely reconciliations while coordinating supplier payments and banking.

The role requires GCSEs including English and Maths and ideally an AAT/ACCA qualification or current study.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs (A*-C/9-4) including English and Maths.
• AAT or ACCA qualification (or studying towards one) is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Process daily accounting entries and maintain sub-ledgers.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee purchasing to ensure best value from suppliers.
• Manage cash banking and travel/transport bookings.
• Serve as primary finance contact for queries from Heads of Faculty, parents, and external contractors.
