Camps International is seeking Regional Expedition Coordinators in the Oxford area. You will develop relationships with schools, run engaging meetings, and drive expeditions from initial contact through fundraising workshops. A regional, ethical sales role with travel across your patch and collaboration with multiple internal teams.
You will be on the road weekly, building a pipeline, meeting teachers and parents, and ensuring smooth handovers to partnerships colleagues for long-term support.
Locations: Oxford area
Camps International - we do great stuff! In a nutshell, we provide expedition opportunities for schools through our experiential school travel programmes in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The "Camps Effect" is the impact that our expeditions have on those who travel with us as well as the impact that our community and conservation projects have on people and the planet. It's at the core of all that we do and no surprise that our crew tells us that this makes for a much happier Monday morning feeling!
This is a role for someone who loves winning. You will be out in your region opening doors with new schools, sitting down with teachers, and bringing the Camps experience to life for their students and parents, all while working to an individual and team target. The teacher meeting is where it all starts. These are proper conversations rather than pitches. You get to know the school, understand what they want their students to take from an expedition, and build the trust that turns interest into a confirmed trip. From there you take it into the school itself. You launch the expedition to the students, present to their parents, and run fundraising workshops that give students the confidence and the practical tools to get started. That is the part where an idea on paper becomes a group of young people genuinely going somewhere. Your focus is bringing new schools into the Camps family, along with reconnecting with schools who have travelled with us before. Our Business Development team will book meetings into your diary and Marketing will keep the enquiries coming, but the strongest coordinators create their own opportunities too, through their own outreach, local knowledge and referrals from the schools they win. Once a school is up and running and fundraising is underway, you hand it over to a dedicated Partnerships colleague who looks after them for the long term. That means you stay where you do your best work: out in front of schools, winning. You will be on the road across your region most weeks, with the occasional overnight stay when the diary calls for it. It is a proper regional patch rather than a national one, so you will get to know your area and your schools properly. And this is a rare, ethical, sales role! We're a team here at Camps so you'll also need to 'muck in' as and when needed to support other teams - and why, because they will for you! It's that kind of place.
We are looking for a real "people-person", with a passion for travel and a belief in what it can do for young people, who is also target-driven with excellent sales skills. You will need to embrace the Camps ethos and working culture to successfully offer our expedition experiences to new schools. This is a new business role, so not every school will say yes. You will be comfortable with that, you keep your activity high, you move quickly, and you do not let a warm school go cold.
Along with the Camps Employee benefits you also benefit from:
If you're energised by the challenge of building something meaningful, inspired by the opportunity to impact thousands of young lives, and driven by a challenge then we'd love to hear from you. This role is perfect for someone who combines sales acumen with a desire to make a difference in an action oriented role, perfect for someone who thrives in an independent autonomous role nested within a close knit team.
