Job summary

MGF is recruiting a Regional Engineer to support its South England operations from Rugeley, acting as the link between engineering and commercial teams. The role focuses on understanding projects, advising at meetings, and delivering temporary works designs and drawings across the South region.

You will promote best practices, participate in regional design meetings, and support the design and delivery process from early engagement through to completion.

Qualifications

• Minimum BSc/BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 2–3 years' experience in temporary works.
• Ability to apply engineering knowledge to temporary works solutions.
• Willingness to take responsibility and use engineering judgement.
• Understanding of CDM 2015 legislation.
• Experience with CAD and Revit software.

Responsibilities

• Act as the key link between engineering and commercial functions.
• Provide engineering advice and guidance at meetings.
• Understand projects and sectors within the region.
• Build relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
• Develop new relationships as required.
• Present in person or virtually; produce temporary works designs and drawings.
• Check designs and drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Raise MGF profile and contribute to regional meetings.
• Learn to use MGF internal systems and processes.
• Assist other areas to add value where possible.
• Support CPD, H&S input and framework activities.
