Job Description:

Our Purpose

Mastercard powers economies and empowers people in 200+ countries and territories worldwide. Together with our customers, we’re helping build a sustainable economy where everyone can prosper. We support a wide range of digital payments choices, making transactions secure, simple, smart, and accessible. Our technology and innovation, partnerships, and networks combine to deliver a unique set of products and services that help people, businesses, and governments realize their greatest potential.

Title and Summary

Regional Director, Cyber Security Business Growth (UKI)

Services are a key differentiator for Mastercard, delivering cutting-edge solutions that help our customers grow. Built on data-driven technologies and innovation, our offerings span consulting, loyalty and marketing programs, business experimentation, and information and risk management. Mastercard has evolved into a comprehensive technology and services platform, expanding into security, loyalty, personalization, and advanced data analytics to help banks, merchants, and governments deliver smarter, more secure, and highly personalized customer experiences.

Security is a core part of this mission, and Mastercard has become a leading global cybersecurity vendor. With the rise of digital commerce, security challenges have become more complex. Cyber threats now extend beyond individual transactions to entire digital ecosystems, requiring a broader approach to protection. Mastercard has strengthened its cybersecurity offerings through strategic acquisitions, including Risk Recon in 2019 and Recorded Future, a global leader in threat intelligence. These enable Mastercard to offer solutions such as advanced cyber risk assessment and real-time threat intelligence, helping clients safeguard their digital footprint—not just payments.

About the Role

The Regional Director, Cyber Security Business Growth will lead Mastercard’s Cyber business in the UKI region. As the P&L owner, you will drive strategic growth, commercial success, and profitability — building a high-performing sales organization while engaging directly with clients to expand cybersecurity footprint.

Responsibilities

  1. Build & Oversee the GTM Operating Model
  2. Define a collaborative operating model with clear joint account coverage.
  3. Align sales and business development teams under a unified Mastercard Cyber narrative and sales process.
  4. Coordinate Internal Execution Across Teams
  5. Facilitate client introductions across business lines, driving cross-sell opportunities between Recorded Future, RiskRecon, and Consulting.
  6. Oversee sales enablement, including collateral, pitch decks, training, and pipeline visibility.
  7. Align product, sales, customer success, and marketing teams around launches and revenue goals.
  8. Own end-to-end sales execution, with emphasis on consulting bundles.
  9. Drive Recorded Future and RiskRecon referrals for Mastercard-managed accounts.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  1. Track and report on commercial integration progress, lead funnel health, and conversion efficiency.
  2. Identify risks, take corrective actions, and communicate progress clearly to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Commercial & Consulting Expertise
  • Successful tenure at a top-tier strategy consultancy with proven ability to translate complex cybersecurity and consulting concepts into clear, compelling client narratives.
  • Extensive client-facing experience, from needs assessment through solution delivery.
  • Strong business development record — identifying opportunities, crafting proposals, scoping solutions, and closing deals.
  • Skilled at building trust-based, long-term relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Cybersecurity Expertise
  • Industry savvy, understanding emerging cyber trends and leveraging market opportunities.
  • Experience with sales of security services, consulting, and technologies such as cyber threat intelligence, security awareness, cloud security, incident response, third-party risk management, threat management, AI, CRQ, web application firewall, and identity theft protection.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • Success leading cross-functional initiatives and aligning stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment.
  • Skilled at balancing strategic vision with execution.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with information security standards (PCI-DSS, HIPAA, ISO27001, NIST, CIS, CSA).
  • Experience with payment ecosystem security and traditional financial services security needs.
  • Experience managing P&L or business ownership roles focused on growth and profitability.

Corporate Security Responsibility

All activities involving Mastercard assets, information, and networks involve inherent risks. Employees must:

  • Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices;
  • Ensure confidentiality and integrity of accessed information;
  • Report security violations or breaches;
  • Complete all mandatory security trainings.
