Job Description:

Purpose of the role:

The UKI is one of the biggest ice-cream markets in Europe and the world, delivering nearly £500m turnover across Retail, Out-of-Home and D-COMM channels.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team responsible for growing market share and business development in the Out-Of-Home Channel. Working closely with Head Office contacts and buying teams, you will compile and deliver JBPs, develop equipment strategies, and grow sales through data and insights. Delighting customers and consumers with Unilever Ice Cream brands will be central to this role.

Responsibilities of the role:

Tactical Solutions:

  • Account Manager / HR Business Partner

Unilever:

  • Customer Account Managers – executing joint business plans for key Managed Leisure customers
  • Conducting Annual Reviews, field visits, weekly 1-2-1s, Monthly team meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Managing Wall's Refrigeration Solutions team requirements

Customer:

  • Managing existing “base business” customers and contacts
  • Managing Head Office Group Accounts

Accountability and Responsibility:

  • Deliver Territory Strategy & Sales Growth Targets
  • Identify new growth opportunities and defend existing ones
  • Collaborate with Unilever CAMs to ensure target delivery via JBPs and customer briefs
  • Identify opportunities for premium equipment placement
  • Maintain sales performance through data analysis
  • Conduct B&J Scoop Shop audits in line with retail teams

Executing Joint Business Plan Management (HO Account Management):

  • Create JBPs with HO Accounts, working with Unilever CAMs to build P&Ls
  • Identify customer needs and utilize Unilever's investments for maximum sales growth
  • Regularly review performance with customers
  • Maintain sales data and records via CRM systems
  • Manage territory/accounts and HO accounts
  • Provide training to ensure operating standards and maximize sales and profits

Skills / Experience Required:

  • Developing customer relationships for retention and growth
  • Tenacity in executing and delivering business plans
  • Strong organizational skills for planning and managing diverse customer needs
  • Effective communication tailored to business and customer preferences
  • Proven sales performance record
  • Full UK driver's license
  • Living in the territory, preferably Leeds/Manchester area (Northern UK, excluding Scotland)
  • Overnight stays may be required
  • Passion for delivery, implementation, and evaluation of business strategies
  • Experience with POS execution, tracking, and evaluation
  • Negotiation skills, including contract management
  • Experience maintaining data through MS systems
  • Analytical skills to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks
  • Team-oriented and proactive in supporting colleagues
