Job summary

State Street Corporation seeks a Vice President of Cyber Security for the UK & Ireland region, reporting to the Regional CISO. You will embed as a senior cyber advisor, partnering with business, technology, risk and compliance to shape priorities reflecting regional needs and client commitments.

You will translate complex risk into actionable decisions for senior stakeholders and drive changes in controls, governance, and remediation across regional entities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Risk Management or equivalent.
• Typically 10–15 years of experience in cyber security, technology risk, security architecture, or related financial services roles.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, GIAC GSSP, OSWE, SABSA or vendor-specific credentials are valuable.
• Knowledge of coding, application security, and security architecture demonstrated.
• Experience in senior BISO roles in financial services or critical national infrastructure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the regional point of orchestration for cross-functional cyber activities, aligning business, technology, risk and legal priorities.
• Provide senior cyber advisory and challenge to ensure decisions support regional objectives and entity requirements.
• Lead regulatory alignment activities, including assessments, evidence reviews and remediation tracking.
• Prepare executive briefings, risk narratives, and updates for governance forums and leadership.
• Engage clients, business and external stakeholders with clear cyber posture and improvement activity.
