Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Compensation Centre of Expertise (COE) at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in London. It is a hybrid role requiring at least three days a week in the office.

Role Overview:

The Compensation COE is part of the People Strategy Team, which includes six centers of expertise: HR Strategy, Workforce Planning, Talent & Inclusion, Executive Compensation, Broad-Based Compensation, and Benefits & Mobility. The team provides strategic insights, innovative solutions, and technical expertise to support organizational needs.

This role partners with senior leadership within the UK, providing rewards advisory and consultation, and champions reward strategies aligned with the CoE's philosophy and business goals. It also represents the UK across Marsh McLennan and is part of the International Rewards leadership team. The UK Compensation Leader reports to the Marsh McLennan Compensation Leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a client advisor to UK business and People Function leaders, providing rewards expertise to executive leaders.
  • Drive the implementation of reward strategies supporting Marsh McLennan's objectives.
  • Collaborate with People Partners, Finance, and other CoEs to align reward initiatives with regional priorities.
  • Manage reward program delivery, pay reviews, regulatory compliance, and business initiatives such as M&A and consolidations.
  • Sponsor and lead enterprise-wide compensation projects, fostering cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to inform reward strategies.
  • Apply a consultative approach to reward themes, translating complex topics into clear narratives.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of two reward professionals, providing ongoing guidance and performance feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Significant senior-level experience in total rewards within large, complex organizations, preferably in finance, banking, professional services, or insurance sectors.
  • Deep understanding of UK regulatory environment (FCA, reporting requirements).
  • Consultative, client-centric problem-solving skills.
  • Curiosity and willingness to develop new skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for global collaboration.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, adaptable environment.
