UK Power Networks is seeking a part-time Communications Officer to join the Press Office in Ipswich. The role focuses on securing positive media coverage across the Eastern region and London HQ, delivering high-quality external communications and building strong media relationships.

You will write for external audiences, respond to media enquiries, monitor breaking news and collaborate with teams to produce compelling stories about apprenticeships, community initiatives and operational updates.

Qualifications

• Experience in external communications and media relations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; news judgement; collaborative approach; ability to build relationships with journalists and internal stakeholders.
