Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Training Specialist to cover the London area.

The Clinical Training Specialist (CTS) is a “Training and Education expert” in Home Therapies. The CTS partners with referring units to teach patients and healthcare professionals best practices in Peritoneal Dialysis (PD). The role involves ensuring patients are properly trained on Vantive’s therapies to optimize outcomes and minimize technique failures.

The CTS collaborates with the renal commercial team to support healthcare professional education and upskilling on PD therapy and devices.

This role requires innovative, evidence-based teaching practices to improve technique and therapy success. The position is field-based, primarily in an allocated region and Education Centre (EC), with flexibility to meet training demands, including community, EC, NHS trust sites, and patient homes.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach and empower patients in self-management of PD with high-quality, evidence-based training.
  • Educate healthcare professionals on best practices, adopting a train-the-trainer approach when needed.
  • Support on-site education for junior healthcare teams.
  • Coordinate with Renal Therapy Specialists for hospital education plans.
  • Utilize hospital centers as education environments for nurses and new PD staff.
  • Maintain accurate training records and provide feedback.
  • Offer refresher and follow-up training for patients.
  • Stay current with product knowledge through journals and conferences.
  • Participate in regional meetings to align activities and share market knowledge.
  • Provide feedback and act as a subject matter expert for sales and marketing teams.
  • Support internal training initiatives to promote clinical excellence.
  • Assist EC Managers in maintaining CQC regulations and readiness.
  • Ensure safeguarding of service users and staff wellbeing.
  • Conduct regular audits to monitor education quality and address concerns.
  • Participate in governance processes and continuous improvement.
  • Support NHS staff education and basic skills training, both face-to-face and remote.
  • Provide flexible training resources, including remote patient training.
Qualifications:
  • Nursing degree or equivalent (Essential)

  • Strong teaching and communication skills (Essential)
  • Ability to work independently and in teams (Essential)
