Job Overview

We are seeking a Clinical Trainer to join our team at Cygnet. Established in 1988, Cygnet provides a wide range of health and social care services for young people and adults with mental health needs, acquired brain injuries, eating disorders, autism, and learning disabilities across the UK.

The post holder will deliver clinical skills training across our health and social care divisions. Training topics include venepuncture, insulin administration, PEG and Naso-gastric feeding, buccal midazolam administration, continence management, and wound care. Responsibilities include:

  1. Delivering clinical skills training tailored to role requirements and service needs.
  2. Using diverse teaching methods to promote participation and skill development.
  3. Conducting training in various formats, including virtual workshops.
  4. Assessing skills and knowledge, providing feedback and coaching where needed.
  5. Collaborating with the Learning and Development team, Resuscitation Lead, and other stakeholders to organize and plan training sessions.
  6. Maintaining current knowledge and CPD, and managing a Trainer portfolio.
  7. Ensuring health, safety, and safeguarding during training sessions.
  8. Managing training equipment and administrative tasks efficiently.
  9. Participating in ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
