Job Title: Regional Client Delivery Director

Location: Abingdon (can be based UK wide with travel to Warrington Client site frequently)

Contract type: Permanent/Hybrid

The role of the Regional Client Delivery Director will focus on:

As part of these, the Director is accountable for the growth and delivery of Water Consultancy projects working alongside the Operations Directors and operational teams. They will have strong client relationships and a reputation for providing advice and support to clients within their region, ensuring delivery exceeds client expectations.

Together with the operational teams, the Director will be accountable for delivery of financial targets on a monthly and yearly basis through frameworks/projects for regional clients.

Their role is also to ensure consistency across the Water Consultancy business and to support innovation and efficiency throughout the team by developing and sharing best practices.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing the Water Consultancy team by securing revenue-generating business and profit growth as part of the leadership team.
  • Growing the business by identifying, developing, and delivering new workstreams and services, collaborating with colleagues across the consultancy and operational teams.
  • Delivering high-quality water consultancy services with continuous improvement, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Contributing to long-term business development strategies by identifying emerging needs and required skills within the water industry.
  • Driving innovation and efficiency within the Water Consultancy teams.
  • Supporting business planning and risk management alongside the Water Consultancy MD.
  • Leading, managing, motivating, and developing staff to enhance performance and potential, including succession planning.
  • Ensuring successful delivery of framework agreements with targeted profit margins.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Knowledge of the water & wastewater regulatory industry, with experience in asset and capital engineering services related to water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • A proven track record in leading and delivering water/wastewater projects to client satisfaction.
  • Experience as a Framework Manager in a client-facing role.
  • Strong interpersonal, staff development, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently on technical and business matters.
  • Skill in delegating and utilizing team skills for efficient delivery.
  • Mentoring and developing junior staff.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Relevant Degree.
  • Chartered or Incorporated status with ICE or CIWEM (desirable).
