Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an experienced Regional Class 2 Driver to support store-to-home deliveries for Beckton, Yeading and Dartford locations. The role offers a two-week rotating shift pattern and a 40-hour week.

Responsibilities include delivering to customers, maintaining time records, and ensuring accurate delivery and documentation. Requires a full UK Cat C licence, HIAB, CPC, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with category C entitlement and up-to-date CPC / Digital Tachograph.
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT).
• Valid HIAB licence with brick grab ticket (ALLMI or equivalent).
• Excellent customer service skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Provide multi-drop home deliveries directly to customers, averaging 16 deliveries per day and up to 24 in peak season.
• Maintain driving/working time records per WTD regulations using Tachomaster and manual entries.
• Operate company vehicles safely, legally, and efficiently.
• Ensure products are checked off and customers receive correct deliveries and documentation.
• Inform customers of estimated delivery times and communicate any delays politely.

Job description

Are you an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) driver seeking a new challenge? Do you enjoy delivering quality products directly to customers’ homes? Are you passionate about providing excellent customer service with every delivery?

Here at GXO, we’re working together with B&Q and are looking for highly experienced Regional Class 2 Driver to join our Store to Home team (applications from HIAB-qualified drivers are encouraged ). In this role you will support deliveries from our Beckton, Yeading and Dartford stores therefore flexibility is essential.

You’ll be working on a full-time , permanent basis, following a two-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1 - Monday to Friday/ Week 2 - Tuesday to Saturday, with start time between 07:00 and 11:00, contracted to 40hrs per week.

As a Driver, you’ll receive a competitive pay and benefits package, depending on the licence held:

Pay Rates:

Class 2 Driver

- An hourly rate of £19.23 , that is an annual salary of £39,998.40

- Overtime pay of 28.85 per hour (when applicable, paid over 40hrs)

Class 2 Driver ( HIAB Qualified )

- An hourly rate of £19.44 , that is an annual salary of £40,435.20

- Overtime pay of £29.16 per hour (when applicable, paid over 40hrs)

What you’ll do on a typical day:

- Providing multi‑drop home deliveries directly to the customer’s chosen room, averaging 16 deliveries per day in quieter months and up to 24 during peak season

- Maintain accurate driving/working time records using the Tachomaster system and manual entries to record all working hours as required by the WTD regulations

- Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner

- Ensure all products are checked off the vehicle and the customer receive the correct products and delivery documentation

- Keep customers informed of their estimated time of delivery and where issues occur communicate with in a polite and courteous manner

What you need to succeed at GXO:

- Previous experience in multidrop, store deliveries preferable but not essential

- A full UK driving licence with category C Entitlement with an up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph

- No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)

- A valid HIAB licence with brick grab ticket (ALLMI or equivalent), where held

- Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal

- Willingness to undertake pre‑employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check)

- Be prepared to commute between Beckton, Yeading and Dartford stores
