As a Bank Regional Care Assistant with Barchester care homes, you'll deliver warm, empathetic, and respectful care and support across a 20-mile radius to help our residents get the most out of life. It's a varied role that requires providing cover as needed. You will monitor care delivery, contribute to person-centred care planning for each resident, and record observations such as temperature and blood pressure among other tasks. The role also involves providing support and companionship, ensuring each resident enjoys meaningful one-to-one time with carers every shift.
A background in care and a good understanding of elderly care are important. A Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care is useful, as is a good understanding of the healthcare industry. Ideally, you will have a C or above in GCSE English and Maths. You should be dedicated, compassionate, and passionate about supporting residents' wellbeing. Flexibility is key, and since you'll be travelling across the area, you need your own car or access to one. Mileage is covered over five miles from your main home, and a bonus is available if you are on duty during an inspection when we achieve a 'Good' rating.
