Regional Business Development Manager - UK & Europe
Circa £Negotiable Car Allowance + Flexible Benefits Fund
Hybrid working - This role can be based anywhere in the UK with proximity to one of our UK offices in Neath, Newcastle, Aberdeen, or London.

Main Purpose of Role:
The Regional Business Development Manager will be responsible for growing the business aligned to a 3-year growth plan for 3 service lines: EPM, AI, and AM. Key growth areas include:
- Revenue Growth: Increasing work with existing core clients and winning new work with target strategic clients.
- Grow Higher margin services: Integrity Consultancy and Asset Management Consultancy.
- Differentiate & diversify services, including Energy Transition (Hydrogen, Carbon Capture & Electrification).
Responsibilities:
- Develop new business and service offerings, extending existing sales for Penspen Group in the European Oil & Gas, Power, and Energy Transition markets according to the company's strategic plan.
- Identify and secure new customers and business opportunities.
- Conduct feasibility studies on prospective markets, including target clients, market spend, and value addition.
- Negotiate new business deals with prospective clients.
- Maintain relationships with key clients to ensure positive exposure for Penspen.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales & Marketing Director, Service Line Directors, and Energy Transition Director.
- Align sales and marketing activities with strategic objectives.
- Support global BD efforts as part of the Penspen Business Development Team.
- Pass prospects and opportunities to other regions and groups when appropriate.
- Build a network within the Dar Group of companies.
- Develop and manage a best-in-class CRM system, including system recommendations.
- Manage regional opportunities in CRM.
- Own and utilize market intelligence platforms such as EIC and Global Data.
- Manage member groups like PIG, IGEM, Hydrogen Europe, NWHA, H2 Ireland, etc.
- Contribute to forecasting based on opportunity success likelihood.
- Provide updates and reports on growth activities and CRM pipelines.
- Coordinate with Marketing to publish project awards and support thought leadership initiatives.
Knowledge / Experience (Skills):
- High organizational skills
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities
- Knowledge and network within the UK and European Oil & Gas, Power, and Energy Transition markets
- Understanding of Energy Transition activities and key country strategies in the UK, Germany, Netherlands, France, Spain, Portugal, etc.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas/Power/Energy Transition consultancy, engineering, or construction roles
- Understanding of legal contract negotiation points
- Ability to manage opportunities from initial contact to contract signing
Qualifications:
- Strong conceptual and technical understanding of consultancy, engineering, operations, and maintenance activities in Oil & Gas, Power, and Energy Transition sectors
- Knowledge and network within the UK market at a graduate level
