Job description

About The Role

This is an exciting new senior National role, created in the wake of our recent successes working on Industrial Estates that demands an energetic, hands-on approach combined with solid strategic thinking to support our ambitious business growth plans. This role is predominantly new business requiring door to door direct sales, networking and gaining referrals selling a total waste management solution nationally.


Responsibilities

  1. Business to business canvassing and regional profiling; always presenting B&M in a professional capacity, selling unique features and benefits of our services.
  2. Closing deals for total waste management services including equipment, recycling, shredding, and hazardous waste.
  3. Solution based selling; create the desire/need and sell long term, profitable contracts.
  4. Completion of client site risk assessments and site audits.
  5. Pre-qualify opportunities to ensure they meet business fit and pass credit check.
  6. Collation of accurate prospect information ensuring CRM is updated daily.
  7. Booking appointments with target organisations' key management personnel to present the company's proposition highlights features, advantages, and benefits.
  8. Assist the subcontract team(s) with identifying new suppliers to support your sale.
  9. Participation in regional networking events, showcasing B&M Services to potential prospects.
  10. Monitor and report on market and competitor activities.
  11. Completion of weekly KPI Sheet.
  12. Attendance and participation in fortnightly/monthly sales meetings.
  13. Diary Management and priority planning.
  14. Assist Administration and Service Team with implementation of new services.
  15. Any other duties as reasonably requested by your Line Manager.

Skills and Experience

  1. 18 months continuous employment in sales role.
  2. Door to door canvassing.
  3. Senior level networking.
  4. Worked within waste industry.
  5. Involvement in a roll out of a multi-site solution.
  6. Contracts, Tenders and T&Cs.
  7. Sales Process/Sales Stage(s).
  8. Hazardous Waste.
  9. Equipment available.
  10. Recycling Market.
  11. Waste Legislation.
  12. Governing Bodies (EA, DEFRA etc.).
  13. Closing.
  14. Experienced MS Office user (Excel, Word and Outlook).
  15. Negotiation skills.
  16. Excellent listener.
  17. Confident and capable presenter.
  18. Able to pull a P&L together.
