About the role.

Be apart new team as a Regional Account Manager – Independent Distributors, where you’ll drive growth, forge lasting partnerships, and lead McCain’s expansion across a vibrant distributor network with exciting new product innovations

Working as part of a new and growing team, the Regional Account Manager – Independent Distributors will be responsible for managing and growing the McCain portfolio across a regionally defined and diverse account base of Distributor customers. Growing the core McCain potato product range alongside exciting new brand launches in appetisers and plant based, this role will maximise existing relationships whilst opening targeted new regional routes to market and building sustainable, long-term partnerships.

Reporting directly to the Customer Development Manager, your responsibilities will extend far and wide:

· Manage and implement the Foodservice Strategy across new and existing customers using the GFSEP process and category insights to deliver Profitable Top Line Growth.
· Full P&L and forecasting responsibility of customers to achieve set revenue/volume/profit targets by winning & retaining business at agreed margin levels.
· Manage both internal and external relationships, creating JBPs, negotiating terms, promotional programmes and range etc.
· Implement structured approach to NPD sales growth and development covering Planning, Market Mapping, Product Training and Review Execution of performance through Salesforce and Microstrategy.
· Utilising the support of our category insights team, marketing and development chefs to create compelling propositions.
· Engage with Regional Account Managers to help pull through distributor volume and drive depot engagement with Telesales and Fieldsales.
· Playing a leadership role within the region, supporting the FSM as necessary

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR.

· Demonstrated success in managing and growing B2B customer accounts, ideally across regional or multi-site territories. Skilled in relationship-building, negotiation, and delivering mutual value.
· Confident in managing budgets, understanding cost structures, and making data-driven decisions to drive profitability. Comfortable with forecasting, reporting, and commercial analysis.
· A track record of identifying and converting new opportunities into sustainable growth. Experience opening up new regional routes to market and tailoring solutions to meet customer needs.
· Background working with well-known consumer brands, with an understanding of brand positioning and the added value of brand-led selling.
· Deep understanding of the UK foodservice or retail landscape, including supply chain dynamics, route-to-market models, and distributor operations. Up to date on market trends, category growth drivers, and competitor activity.
