Job Title: Regulation 44 Visitor
Location: Remote-based with regional travel
Salary: Up to 50,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a committed and experienced Regulation 44 Visitor to join a trusted and well-established children's services provider. This is a remote-based role with regular travel across services to conduct 20 Regulation 44 visits per month in line with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance are maintained across multiple residential homes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about improving outcomes for young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out independent monthly visits to children's homes in accordance with Regulation 44
  • Write clear, evidence-based reports for internal teams and Ofsted
  • Assess the quality of care, safeguarding practices, and general welfare of children
  • Engage with children, staff, and stakeholders during each visit
  • Keep up-to-date with current legislation and best practices in residential childcare

Requirements

  • Proven experience within social care, ideally in children's residential settings
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, children's rights, and care regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage travel across multiple sites
  • Must hold an Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one
