Job details

Location: Eastfield House

Working hours: Monday to Friday, circa 6am to 2pm daily, 37 hours per week full time.

Position: Recycling Refuse Driver/Loader

Requirements: Up-to-date HGV Qualification, CPC, and Tacho Digicard.

Responsibilities:

• Drive collection vehicles, lead the daily collection team, and carry out daily maintenance checks.
• Be responsible for the vehicle and crew, resolving issues to ensure service delivery.
• Use the in-cab data system to record events and ensure rounds are completed daily.
• Complete all relevant paperwork.
• Load waste onto collection vehicles following safe working practices.
• Collect household waste, work as part of a crew, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Make decisions on waste acceptance, undertake risk assessments, and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with crew and the public.
• Follow instructions professionally, with all PPE provided.
