Job summary

Connect2Dudley is recruiting on behalf of Dudley Council for a temporary ongoing Refuse Department position. You will collect refuse from residential and commercial locations, load and unload waste, and operate bin lifts and equipment in a safe way.

The role involves manual lifting, long walking days, and flexibility across multiple shifts. The right candidate should be comfortable with 10 miles of walking per day and adhere to health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Collect refuse from residential and commercial locations according to scheduled routes.
• Load and unload waste materials efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
• Safe operation of the bin lift and other equipment on the vehicle.
• Refuse collection
• Picking and collecting waste and garbage
• Separating collected materials that should be recycled
• Emptying garbage trucks that has been filled
• Crushing/ garbage refuse collected
• Following Health & Safety guidelines Successfully following instructions

Working Hours:

07:00-15:00

05:45-13:45

06:00-14:00

The right candidate has to be flexible to work all shift patterns across both locations.

This role involves manual lifting as well as long distance walking for around 10miles a day.
