Job summary

Blue Arrow is seeking Refuse Loaders in Aviemore to support busy recycling and waste facilities. You will assist with loading, street scene tasks, and operating at Household Recycling Centres or transfer stations. A reliable mindset and ability to work in varied weather are essential.

The role engages in bulky item collection, uplift of recycling/refuse containers, and basic administrative tasks. Training and daily shifts are provided, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Excellent work ethic and reliability.
• Good fitness for lifting and shifting tasks.
• Active listening and effective communication skills.
• Able to confidently work in a team but also individually.
• Willingness to perform varied duties at recycling/ refuse sites.

Responsibilities

• Loading behind Refuse/Recycling Lorry.
• Street scene management.
• Working at a Household Recycling Centre/Transfer Station or Landfill.
• Collection of bulky items and fly tipping removal.
• Deliver/Uplift Recycling/Refuse containers.
• Basic record keeping or other administrative duties as required.
• Uplift of animal carcasses.
• Any other work as directed by Supervisor/Foreperson.
