An established local government body is seeking a dedicated driver for its Street Scene and Waste department. This role involves operating various vehicles, including a 7.5t caged tail lift for bulk waste collection and 26t compaction trucks for commercial services. The position requires a full HGV/LGV driving license and a commitment to excellent customer service. A vacancy has become available for a driver within our Street Scene and Waste department. It is essential that you have a full driving license including HGV/LGV driving licence and CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
Responsibilities include driving various vehicles, such as a 7.5t caged tail lift vehicle for collecting large bulky waste items from households and businesses, and 26t trade compaction trucks for servicing our commercial waste customers.
You will be required to work 37 hours per week: Monday to Thursday, 8 hours each day, and 5 hours on Friday. Flexibility to work overtime as needed is also required.
This role provides access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
