Moray Council is seeking a Refuse Collector to join their team, taking on vital duties related to waste collection and general cleansing. The role requires previous labor-intensive experience and entails teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to safety standards. This part-time position offers a competitive salary for dedicated individuals willing to work outdoors in varying conditions.
Undertake as a member of a team, duties concerned with the collection of waste from domestic and trade establishments.
May be required to cover street sweeping/litter collection duties and public convenience cleaning to cover staff shortages.
May be required to cover duties at outlying depots

To ensure the highest standards of Health and Safety are applied
Previous employment of a similar nature i.e. predominantly labour intensive
Must have a basic level of literacy in order to read and act on instruction
Able to work on own under instruction and as part of an effective team
Self confident
Self motivated
Ability to follow routines and instructions Able to communicate efficiently and effectively with members of the public Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the practice of good team working
Willingness to accept direction/delegation
Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs and demands of the service
Ability to bend and stretch in order to uplift waste and recyclable materials in accordance with manual handling regulations
Ability to work in all weather conditions

Starting Salary: £25,512 (pro rata)
£13.26 per hour
