Are you a competent and multiskilled Refurbishment and Maintenance professional or builder looking for a new challenge?

We are looking for an experienced Refurbishment Operatives to join our newly created Refurbishment team, refurbishing our new children’s homes and schools as part of our expansion plans. You will work as a part of an integral team, carrying out planned and time-lined refurbishment maintenance and repair procedures such as plumbing, plastering, painting, basic electrics, and gardening skills.

We are looking for someone who is happy and confident to carry out a range of works, refurbishment, maintenance, and property upkeep with travel across the region to support our growth plans.

You will be reporting to our Maintenance Manager, Graham, and will be part of a Refurbishment team of 3.

  • A salary up to £33,000 per annum

Minimum Requirements
  • You will have experience in all aspects of general maintenance and the ability to carry out this work to a high standard
  • You will have experience in plastering, building, and decorating, to provide an efficient and comprehensive maintenance service to our homes
  • Working knowledge of basic plumbing
  • Excellent communication skills, to liaise effectively with all levels of the organisation
  • You will be experienced in the safe use of powered hand and bench tools
  • You can work both independently and as part of the wider team
  • Confident in using IT systems - Currently we use Jira to manage and update jobs
  • A full driving license is essential, along with flexibility to travel across our homes and schools including overnight stays
