Job description

Refuge Night Worker/Administrator
Job Type: Part-time (Permanent)
Hours: 2 shifts per fortnight
Week 1: Friday & Saturday
Week 2: Off
Night shifts are 9pm – 8:30am
Salary: £12.90 per hour

If you have a passion for working within the domestic abuse sector, Fortalice has an exciting opportunity to recruit a Refuge Night Worker/Administrator who will also be the first point of contact for the residents in our Refuge, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Purpose of the role:
The post is based at Lewis House, a purpose-built Refuge, comprising of 22 self-contained flats, an Outstanding OFSTED registered Children’s Services, offices, a meeting room and a communal area in which group activities can be facilitated. This facility is staffed on a 24-hour basis by Family Support Workers.

This role is a working night shift and includes being the first point of contact for residents and providing administrative support to the wider team.

Key skills:
• A genuine passion for working with vulnerable people
• Experience of lone working and a commitment to following lone working procedures
• Experience of reception and general office admin duties
• An ability to identify, respond and manage risk and safeguarding concerns relating to children and/or adults at risk
