Our client is a leading supplier of remote control and plug-in refrigerated cabinets to the retail, food and beverage, and hospitality sectors. We are seeking a qualified refrigeration service engineer to cover South Wales. The role involves servicing a variety of customers, from supermarkets to small independent businesses. The successful applicant must hold a current F-gas qualification.
- Carry out reactive repairs on a wide range of commercial refrigeration systems.
- Undertake preventative maintenance as required.
- Assist with installation work when needed.
- Perform or assist in commissioning at the local level.
- Hands-on problem-solving skills with the ability to generate ideas and solutions.
- Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing demands and prioritize tasks.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Commercial awareness.
- Self-motivated but capable of working as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental issues.
- Relevant refrigeration certification (e.g., City & Guilds in refrigeration).
- Experience with CO2 systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and use of handheld mobile devices.
- Choice of van or crew cab (subject to availability).
- Pension scheme: 8%, including a 5% contribution by the employer.
- 33 days of annual leave, including bank holidays.
- Holiday pay is 20 days, matched to your average earnings including overtime.
- Annual pay rate review each April.
