A leading company in the UK is seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter responsible for installing refrigeration and chilled water pipework. The role requires collaboration with engineers, adherence to QA and Health & Safety standards, and effective communication with clients and staff. Candidates should have a minimum of five years' experience and relevant qualifications.
The Pipe Fitter will be responsible for the installation of refrigeration and chilled water pipework on Azenta Automated Storage Systems. They will collaborate with Installation Engineers to ensure installations are completed according to the project timeline.

Management:
The Pipe Fitter represents the company professionally in all interactions, including dealings with clients and staff, and leads by example. They should have a good understanding of QA and Health & Safety standards.
Authority:
They must proactively manage their workload and priorities in coordination with their line manager, often handling multiple tasks simultaneously. They are responsible for organizing their daily tasks based on client requirements and making independent decisions regarding workload prioritization, seeking management guidance when necessary. They should also recognize when additional assistance, such as consulting the refrigeration design team, is required.
Communications:
The candidate will communicate with staff at all levels internally, including Project Managers, refrigeration design, commissioning engineers, and installation managers. On-site, they will liaise with the installation team leader. Since much communication is face-to-face with clients, they must handle interactions tactfully, diplomatically, and confidentially. The role requires a thorough understanding of refrigeration pipework, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to suggest design modifications before installation.
