Job description

A large national FM and maintenance company are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to be based at a large mobile site in Bath. This is a fantastic role for the right person to join an established team.

Responsibilities will include:

  1. Installation and Commissioning: Set up refrigeration systems like HVAC units, walk-in coolers, and ice machines.
  2. Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct regular maintenance and repair tasks on systems such as commercial freezers and cold storage units.
  3. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix issues with refrigeration systems, including chillers and display cases.
  4. System Upgrades: Implement upgrades to enhance efficiency and performance.
  5. Compliance and Safety: Ensure systems comply with safety standards and refrigerant regulations.
  6. Documentation: Keep detailed maintenance and repair records.
  7. Energy Efficiency: Identify and implement energy-saving measures.
  8. Client Communication: Communicate with clients about system status and maintenance activities.
  9. Training and Supervision: Train and supervise junior staff.
  10. Emergency Response: Respond to urgent issues to minimise downtime.

Qualification Requirements:

  1. NVQ Level 2 in refrigeration
  2. F-Gas 2079
  3. Driving Licence

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
