Job summary

South Eastern Regional College in Lisburn invites applications for a Lecturer in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. This permanent, full‑time post (1FTE) is based at the Lisburn Campus with a starting salary point of £37,042 per annum.

The post is to join the teaching team, deliver current courses and contribute to future developments. Applicants should meet the essential criteria including NVQ Level 3 or above in Plumbing or Refrigeration, and an assessors qualification.

Qualifications

• Hold GCSE English (Grade A-C) / Essential Skills Level 2 in Communication; and GCSE Maths (Grade A-C) / Essential Skills Level 2 in Numeracy, or NICATS Access Maths Modules.
• Have completed a full NVQ Level 3 or above apprenticeship in Plumbing or Refrigeration and/or Air Conditioning or equivalent
• Hold a Level 5 or above qualification in Construction Building Services or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent OR be prepared to obtain a Level 5 qualification within two years of appointment.
• Have a minimum of two years’ experience in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry or in plumbing with relevant Refrigeration/AC elements
• Currently qualified as an approved Assessor and hold an A1 award or be prepared to obtain an Assessor qualification
• Demonstrate excellent administrative, planning, and organisational skills
• Demonstrate a high level of competency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrate the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Demonstrate the ability to prioritise and organise tasks
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communications skills
