The Role:
We are currently recruiting for a Refractory Sales Manager to drive new business development and grow relationships with existing accounts across our Central Refractories/IMS division. This role is ideal for a commercially driven individual with technical understanding of refractory products and their industrial applications.


You will engage directly with clients through site visits, inspections, and technical consultations, while also supporting office-based sales functions and contributing to long-term sales strategy development.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a sales strategy for refractory products and services within your territory.
• Support the Branch Manager in formulating branch-level sales plans and project pricing.
• Build and manage relationships with key accounts, engineers, and procurement teams.
• Conduct site inspections to understand client requirements and recommend appropriate refractory solutions.
• Prepare detailed quotations, tender submissions, and technical proposals.
• Collaborate with the technical team on installation and maintenance projects.
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors to secure support and competitive pricing.
• Track market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of all sales activity using CRM tools and reporting systems.
• Provide a high standard of customer service and technical support throughout the sales process.

Skills & Experience Required:
• Previous experience in refractory sales or a closely related field (., high-temperature insulation, steelworks, industrial services).
• Technical knowledge of refractory materials and their industrial applications is highly advantageous.
• Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record in B2B sales.
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and large accounts.
• Confident communicator and negotiator with strong presentation skills.
• Effective team player with excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable with field-based work and frequent customer site visits.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and CRM systems.
