Job summary

Randstad Student Support seeks an experienced practitioner with a Social Work background to deliver reflective group supervision for the University of Southampton’s Student Mental Health & Wellbeing team. The role supports practitioner wellbeing, professional practice, and complex case management within a dedicated staff team.

As Staff Supervisor, you will provide group and 1-to-1 supervision for about 45 staff, using social work frameworks to address non-clinical case reflection, risk

Qualifications

• Experience providing clinical, social work, or reflective supervision to individual practitioners or groups.
• Deep understanding of multi-agency working, risk assessment, adult safeguarding principles, and complex boundary management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Reflective Supervision: Facilitate high-quality group and 1-to-1 supervision sessions for university mental health advisers and support staff.
• Apply Social Work Principles: Utilise systemic, person-centred, and social work reflective frameworks to support staff.
• Promote Practitioner Wellbeing: Create a safe, confidential environment to discuss burnout prevention and resilience strategies.
• Maintain Professional & Ethical Standards: Guide supervisees in navigating boundaries and multi-agency pathways.
• Record Keeping & Governance: Log attendance and contribute to supervision review summaries.
• Safeguarding & Escalation: Adhere to safeguarding protocols when risks emerge during supervision.
