Job summary

Bradford City Council’s Education Safeguarding Service is recruiting a full-time Referral Officer to join our dedicated team. You will administer the Local Authority’s Children Missing Education and Elective Home Education referral processes and support safeguarding data needs.

The role includes coordinating safeguarding checks with external and internal agencies, and providing efficient administration and data analysis to help protect and support children and young people.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding administration and data handling.
• Ability to coordinate with internal and external agencies.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

The Education Safeguarding Service wants to enable all children of compulsory school age in the district to access, attend and enjoy safe settings, and to ensure that the adults who work with them have the knowledge and skills to support them effectively. The aim of this team is to work collaboratively with Council teams and wider agencies to provide a coordinated approach to the well-being of children and young people, whilst continually striving for imaginative and forward-thinking practice that will make a difference to the children of Bradford.

We are looking to recruit a full-time Referral Officer to join our dedicated team. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city.

The main responsibilities of this role:
