Here at Bristol Vet Specialists, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic RVN to join our OOH Night nursing team in our state-of-the-art hospital in Bristol.

Bristol Vet Specialists is a large multidisciplinary referral hospital offering specialist services including Emergency and Critical Care, Orthopaedic Surgery, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Anaesthesia and Analgesia, Internal Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, Oncology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Dentistry, and Diagnostic Imaging.

We are part of CVS (UK) Ltd, the largest provider of integrated veterinary services in the UK, operating eight referral hospitals across the UK and Ireland.

You will be involved in the care and management of a variety of cases, both feline and canine, working alongside our specialist team. The rota pattern follows a 3-week rotation:

  1. WEEK 1 - 18:00 - 07:00 (7 Nights Mon-Sun, 1 hr lunch break)
  2. WEEK 2 - Off 7 Days (Recovery)

Holiday entitlement within this role is included within the salary. The night team is supported on-site by two other RVNs (based in ICU), a rotating intern, and multiple specialists and RVNs on-call during the night.

We are committed to supporting staff well-being through our wellness program, which includes an Employee Assistance Programme with Health Assured, optional health shield cash plans, Mental Health First Aiders, and Wellbeing Champions.

This role would suit an RVN with prior referral hospital experience and confidence in managing a high volume of patients.
