Hours of Work:

38 hrs/week
7:30-15:30 Monday to Thursday (30 mins lunch, 12:00-12:30)
7:30-14:30 Friday

Roxel is an Anglo-French company that designs, develops, and manufactures solid propellant rocket motors for tactical missiles. Operating across UK and France, with an annual turnover of about £150M and nearly 1000 staff, its UK operations are based at Summerfield, Kidderminster.

The MP&L Planner supports the supply chain process from parts supply to finished goods dispatch, ensuring On Time and In Full (OTIF) delivery. This role involves coordinating materials and production requirements to support on-time build and delivery, covering both Materials and Production planning areas.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and optimize supply chain logistics, focusing on planning, procurement, and movement of products.
  • Implement inventory management practices to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce waste.
  • Forecast demand in coordination with sales and production departments to meet customer needs.
  • Ensure parts and materials are available for production, maintaining supplier schedules and expediting as necessary.
  • Create and prioritize production schedules and Works Orders for manufacturing efficiency.
  • Provide production progress reports and manage changes at part and project levels.
  • Maintain planning parameters in MRP systems to support scheduling and quality assurance.
  • Support development programs and improve inventory and supply processes.
  • Ensure health and safety standards for incoming materials are upheld.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Skills/Qualifications

Experience & Background

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at level 4 or above, including Maths & English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong knowledge of MRP systems; experience with TROPOS is advantageous
  • Experience in planning functions and driving change
  • Ability to analyze and develop solutions for continuous improvement
