Job Role: Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant

The Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will be expected to help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.

The Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers must have at least 6 months of experience in care and possess a compassionate attitude.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers help with the day-to-day care of patients in homes, hospitals, or patients' own homes. They are vital members of healthcare teams in hospitals, homes, and clinics.

As a Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of nursing staff and alongside other Healthcare Assistants.

Your duties may include:

• Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
• Serving food or assisting with eating
• Making and changing beds
• Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
• Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
• Helping patients move around
• Assisting with toileting and collecting bedpans
• Maintaining a tidy ward or home environment
• Managing supplies and equipment

Your daily work may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients within hospitals. With experience, you may participate in induction training for new healthcare assistants.

We also supply staff to NHS and private sectors, including nurses, general nurses, RGNs, nurses in Bands 5 and 6, HCAs, community nurses, and specialists in A&E, Endoscopy, and Theatre.
