Job summary

Halfords is seeking a dedicated Reddit Community Manager to join our Performance Marketing team. You will build an authentic, organic presence on Reddit, shaping strategy, benchmarks and long‑term growth across relevant subreddits for cycling and motoring products.

The role requires hands‑on content creation, community engagement, crisis management and data‑driven planning, with leadership across brand, social and PR teams. Hybrid role based at Redditch centre.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in community management across social platforms.
• Significant hands-on Reddit experience and understanding of its culture.
• Active personal Reddit account with meaningful participation.
• Strong writing with brand-appropriate tone.
• Experience handling negative threads with calm and clarity.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage in core subreddits, building trust and authority by offering genuine value.
• Shape and own Halfords Reddit strategy from the ground up, defining benchmarks and growth plans.
• Create Reddit-native content such as long-form guides and visuals tailored to each community.
• Partner with SEO to optimise post titles and content for discoverability.
• Use social listening tools to monitor brand mentions and sentiment.
• Collaborate with the Social Media team to inform broader strategies across channels.
• Work with PR and brand teams to manage potential crises.
• Build relationships with moderators and key community members.
• Lead Reddit-first initiatives like AMAs and Megathreads.
• Share insights with product and marketing teams to shape future offerings.
