Job summary

Bonhill Partners Ltd. is seeking a senior Red Team Lead in London for an initial 6-month contract with guaranteed conversion to permanent. The role oversees Red Team operations, executes advanced Penetration testing, and collaborates with the SOC and vendors on Purple Team exercises.

You will mentor security professionals, identify threats, and drive governance for finding remediation and executive reporting across EMEA infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Lead and govern Red Team operations, providing coaching and mentorship to team members.
• Design and execute comprehensive penetration testing engagements across networks, apps, and social engineering.
• Coordinate with SOC and external vendors to plan Purple Team exercises.
• Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and control gaps through adversary simulations for informed risk awareness.
• Manage Red Team tooling and the Security Testing & Validation platform for effective assessments.
• Oversee internal security professionals and third parties in risk assessments across EMEA infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Establish governance processes for findings, tracking remediation and reporting to technical and executive stakeholders.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and tech teams to strengthen security controls and resilience.
• Lead and develop Red Team capabilities and incident response readiness.
• Ensure secure, compliant delivery of security testing across multiple geographies.

Job description

Location: London, Bank - 3 days in office.

Details: Initial 6 month contract, with guaranteed conversion to perm within that period.

Perm salary: up to £120k base + bonus

Requirements:

• Develop, maintain, and govern Red Team operations, while providing training, coaching, and mentorship to Red Team members.
• Design and execute comprehensive penetration testing engagements, including network, web application, and social engineering assessments.
• Partner with the SOC and external security vendors to plan, coordinate, and deliver annual Purple Team exercises.
• Identify and validate security risks, vulnerabilities, and control gaps through adversary simulation activities, enabling the business to understand potential threats and impacts.
• Manage and optimize Red Team tooling and the Security Testing & Validation platform to support effective security assessments.
• Lead internal security professionals and third-party resources in conducting regular risk assessments across EMEA internal and external infrastructure, identifying vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and exploitable weaknesses.
• Establish and maintain governance processes for assessment findings, tracking remediation progress and delivering regular reporting to both technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Collaborate closely with infrastructure, application, and other technology teams to strengthen security controls, enhance defensive capabilities, and improve resilience against real-world cyber threats.
