The Red List Unit Head at IUCN in Cambridge, UK leads the production and maintenance of The IUCN Red List, ensuring scientific rigour and compliance with Red List protocols. The role reports to the Director, Biodiversity Assessment and Knowledge and requires line management of Red List Unit staff and cross-team collaboration.

You will coordinate with the IUCN SSC and Red List Partners, oversee training materials, and help develop guidelines and technical documents essential to global analyses

Qualificações

• A PhD in environmental sciences or related subject.
• At least ten-years of experience in undertaking Red List assessments.
• Experience in international species conservation policy.
• Experience in international training programmes.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the integrity of The IUCN Red List.
• Lead staff supervision, training and annual performance appraisals.
• Coordinate with SSC and Red List Partners for compliance and collaboration.
• Develop and update Red List guidelines and training resources.
