Job summary

Barker Ross Group is recruiting for a Recycling Operative for a client in Telford, specialising in recycling waste streams for individual clients. The role involves identifying and sorting waste streams, adhering to health and safety protocols, and supporting site operations outdoors with full PPE.

The ideal candidate will have basic IT skills (MS Office), be able to work independently, and be flexible with hours.FLT/Counterbalance license desirable but not required.

Qualifications

• Able to work alone, use initiative and make decisions.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office suite for basic data handling and reporting.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather with full PPE; training provided on site.

Responsibilities

• Day to day site operations and waste requirements.
• Ensure waste streams are segregated and stored correctly after processing according to safety policies.
• Follow instructions from Operations Manager and maintain safety standards.
• Be a role model for site conduct and behavior.
• Undertake any training to support the role.
• Support site staff and provide guidance as needed.
• Follow all risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Promote a positive work environment and adjust hours as needed.
