Abbey Personnel Services Ltd is recruiting for a team of Hand Pickers to manually sort and recover designated materials from mixed waste streams at our Brayton site in the United Kingdom. You will identify target materials, ensure quality standards, and maintain housekeeping.

Hours are 7:30 to 16:00, Monday to Friday. Roles require good attention to detail, ability to work safely, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Training on site will be provided; protective equipment is required.

Responsabilités

• Visually inspect waste materials moving along a conveyor system.
• Remove designated recyclable materials: cardboard and paper, plastics, metals, glass, wood.
• Place recovered materials into the correct chutes, bins, or containers for further processing.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area around the picking station.
• Follow site health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Report equipment faults, blockages, or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Assist with housekeeping and general facility operations as required.

My client is looking to recruit a team of Hand Pickers. You will be responsible for manually sorting and recovering designated materials from mixed waste streams within the confines of a designated picking station.

The role involves identifying and removing target materials, ensuring product quality standards are achieved, maintaining housekeeping standards, and complying with all site health, safety, and environmental procedures to support efficient waste processing and resource recovery operations.

Key Responsibilities
