07:45 am - 16:15 pm, Monday – Friday

Role Purpose:

The purpose of the data erasure role is to ensure the secure and compliant removal of data from customer data-bearing devices. The role is critical for maintaining data privacy, adhering to legal and regulatory requirements, and protecting SCC from data breaches and related risks.

Security clearance or willingness to apply is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Removing data from customer IT equipment using bespoke software.
• Physically assess and grade IT equipment in preparation for sale or refurbishment.
• Perform data entry activities on a bespoke SCC system recording essential criteria.
• Work as part of a team to ensure all IT equipment is data safe before leaving the department.
• Process all customer units within agreed OLA’s/SLA’s, focusing on attention to detail while meeting customer requirements and expectations.
• Achieve key performance indicators and targets to maximize productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Undertake training programs regarding all processes and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies such as Health and Safety, Safe Systems of Work, and Traffic Management Plan.
• Maintain a high level of security awareness.
• Perform any other duties necessary to maintain departmental effectiveness, including project activities and covering for team absences.
• Handle all customer equipment carefully to avoid damage.
• Project a proactive and positive attitude when communicating with customers, maintaining a friendly, professional service.
