Job summary
Enva in Colwick is seeking a Recycling Operative to sort and separate recyclable materials on a moving conveyor. You will work to recover materials efficiently while upholding safety and quality standards.
In this indoor facility, you will follow strict health, safety, and environmental procedures, wear PPE, and support housekeeping and general plant operations as part of the Operations team to help meet production targets.
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Good attention to detail and ability to identify different recyclable materials.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods.
- Follow safety instructions and procedures at all times.
- Reliable, punctual and a team player.
- Experience in recycling, waste management, manufacturing or warehouse ops is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Sort and separate recyclable materials from a conveyor belt.
- Remove non-recyclable, contaminated, or hazardous items from the waste stream.
- Maintain quality by ensuring correct material segregation.
- Monitor the conveyor line and report equipment faults or operational issues.
- Keep the work area clean and free from hazards.
- Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Assist with housekeeping and general plant operations as required.
- Wear and properly use PPE.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets.
