Recycling Assistant – Mid & East Kent
Salary – £12.21 per hour
Hours – Full-time, rota-based including weekends and bank holidays
Location – Folkestone, CT20 3UJ

As a Recycling Assistant at FCC Environment, you will play a vital role in promoting recycling and reuse across our household waste recycling centres. You will deliver excellent customer service while helping site users to dispose of their waste responsibly and safely, in line with all health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 6 days per week.

What will you be doing?
• Delivering a high standard of customer service and promoting recycling and reuse
• Operating the site safely and efficiently in line with legal and company requirements
• Supporting the Recycling Team Leader in maintaining site compliance and cleanliness
• Monitoring and recording container movements and site inspections
• Ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to health and safety regulations
• Identifying chargeable waste and ensuring accurate records are kept
• Wearing uniform and name badge, maintaining a professional appearance
• Working flexibly across sites within Mid & East Kent, including weekends and bank holidays

Previous experience in a customer-facing, waste, or recycling environment is desirable but not essential — full training will be provided.
