Location: We have a vacancy for a Recycler Technician in our Customer Field Services department, covering the Yorkshire region. Applicants should reside within a 30-minute commute of Blackburn Meadows wastewater treatment works in Sheffield.

Work type: This is a permanent, 40-hour weekly role with rotational shifts to cover 24/7 operations. Once trained, participation in an emergency call-out rota (approximately 1 week in 7) is required. Travel across operational sites in the region is necessary; a full valid driving license (no more than 6 points), LGV Category C license, and ideally a driver DCPC are required.

Role overview: You will work alongside the Recycler Assistant, coordinate with other teams and partners, and ensure first-time fix solutions for sewer network issues. Responsibilities include operating a Recycler safely, responding to sewer blockages, collecting data, and liaising with customers and contractors to resolve issues efficiently. Adherence to Health & Safety standards and financial awareness are essential. Flexibility for shift work and emergency call-outs is required. Working in confined spaces and passing medical assessments are prerequisites.

Requirements:

• Full valid EU driving license with no more than six points, Category C HGV license, and DCPC.
• Experience driving vehicles with liquid loads and Recycler operation experience.
• Strong Health & Safety knowledge, fault diagnosis skills, and IT proficiency.
• Customer service experience and excellent communication skills.
• Understanding of sewer network performance issues; wastewater experience is preferred.
