Job description

About Us – Carestaff Solutions:
Carestaff Solutions is a CQC-registered health and social care staffing agency delivering high-quality, compliant, and responsive staffing solutions across the Northwest of England and Greater London. We pride ourselves on being a lifeline service, operating 24/7 to support our clients.

We are known for our personal approach, high compliance standards, and the trusted partnerships we build with clients and workers alike. As we continue to grow, we are looking for passionate and driven Recruitment Consultants to join our exceptional team.

Role Overview:
As a Recruitment Consultant at Carestaff Solutions, you will be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process, covering both business development and candidate management. This is a hands-on, proactive role that demands resilience, empathy, strong relationship-building, and commercial acumen.

You will be the face of Carestaff in your region – known and trusted by clients, and a valued point of contact for our health and social care workers.

Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
  • Identify and engage new health and social care services across your region (care homes, children’s homes, supported living, private hospitals, etc.)
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with service managers, procurement leads, and HR teams.
  • Promote Carestaff’s services confidently and clearly, demonstrating the value and reliability we provide.
  • Arrange and attend client meetings, service visits, and service reviews.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records.

Candidate Recruitment & Management:
  • Source and attract experienced health and social care workers using job boards, referrals, social media, and local outreach.
  • Screen, interview, and fully onboard candidates in line with Carestaff’s compliance procedures.
  • Ensure all workers are compliant (DBS, Right to Work, references, training, etc.)
  • Match candidates to suitable roles and maintain regular contact to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Take a genuine interest in our workers’ welfare and career goals.

Shift Fulfilment & Rotas:
  • Proactively manage and fill bookings using our in-house system and Carestaff App.
  • Work with urgency to cover last-minute shifts while maintaining quality.
  • Liaise with the on-call team to ensure 24/7 support is consistent and professional.

Compliance & Quality:
  • Work in partnership with our compliance leads to ensure full readiness before placements.
  • Follow all internal policies and CQC regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure service user safety, confidentiality, and dignity is always upheld.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience in recruitment (preferably in health or social care), or similar client-facing role.
  • Confident communicator – written, verbal, and face-to-face.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify business opportunities.
  • A self-starter with excellent time management and organisation.
  • Resilient, professional, and adaptable under pressure.
  • Genuine passion for the care sector and commitment to ethical recruitment.

What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary and uncapped commission structure, rewarding your hard work and success.
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities to support your professional growth.
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment where your contributions are valued and recognised.
  • Bonus structure.
  • £250 Employee of the Quarter awards.
  • Pension scheme.
  • Team Building Events.
