Job description

We believe in caring for our own people first before we can care for others. That's why we're looking for a caring, bubbly, passionate person to help grow the Bluebird Care Oxfordshire business.

Your Opportunity

As a Recruitment Manager, you will play a key role in finding and retaining the right people to support our customers in their own homes. We're expanding across Oxfordshire, so you must be prepared to work at a fast pace while upholding our values and culture.

Based at our offices in Wallingford, Oxford, and Witney, you will work within the management team to support recruitment and marketing efforts to attract and retain staff across the region. You will collaborate with each office team to meet their recruitment needs and work closely with the managing director and registered manager to source passionate care team members. Your local market knowledge and ability to utilize job boards, recruitment events, and community outreach will be essential.

You will also partner with the Managing Director to develop and implement a business marketing and recruitment plan, including campaign management and raising awareness of the company to grow opportunities from new and existing customers.

We expect you to be self-motivated, energetic, and proactive in all aspects of people management and recruitment. Experience in the care sector, understanding operational excellence, and knowing what makes a great Care Assistant are essential.

Key Responsibilities of the Recruitment Manager include:

  • Providing a positive candidate experience throughout recruitment and onboarding to foster a sense of value and belonging.
  • Conducting face-to-face and telephone competency-based interviews, and shortlisting candidates.
  • Facilitating bespoke recruitment events across Oxfordshire.
  • Identifying community opportunities to source candidates for new roles.
  • Prioritizing campaigns and creating tailored solutions for resource challenges.
  • Working with the managing director to develop and implement community engagement and growth strategies.
  • Drafting annual and quarterly PR, business development, and event plans.
  • Seeking advertising and community partnership opportunities, distributing marketing collateral to key stakeholders.
  • Building relationships with local media to enhance the company's profile.
  • Organizing feedback and PR events, such as care-themed initiatives, summer programs, family forums, and charitable events.
  • Establishing relationships with charities, GP surgeries, hospital discharge teams, and other community partners to promote the Bluebird brand and services.
