Job description

Reporting to the Specialist Audiologist, your responsibilities will include:

  • The post holder will be supported to work independently with children aged 4.5 years and upwards in assessment and habilitation clinics.
  • You will be supported to develop skills in the tester two role working alongside senior staff in clinics with preschool children from the ages of 7 months and older.
  • You will be encouraged to engage in service development and become aware of quality improvement tools such as audit and service evaluation, working alongside senior staff. The service works closely with colleagues in the Trust including ENT colleagues, medical staff, and also external stakeholders such as Teachers of the Deaf.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust, Hearing Services for a audiologist. The service offers a wide range of clinical experiences, the full range of paediatric assessment techniques, a paediatric balance service, offers a wide range of hearing aids including bone anchored hearing aids and middle ear implants. We have a welcoming team of 20 staff comprising audiologists, clinical scientists, specialist paediatrician and admin staff.
