Join us for our Clinical Specialist (Band 6) Recruitment Event on Saturday, 16 August 2025, focusing on Band 6 roles within the Emergency and Crisis Pathway at NLFT. This pathway includes services such as the Mental Health Crisis Assessment Service and the Health Based Place of Safety. We seek experienced healthcare professionals passionate about delivering urgent and specialist mental health care.

Main duties of the job

We are recruiting for two roles:

  1. Mental Health Crisis Assessment Service (MHCAS): An innovative crisis assessment model integrating emergency liaison and a bespoke mental health crisis assessment unit supporting patients in a trauma-informed therapeutic setting. Recognized with the NHS Parliamentary Award for Excellence in Mental Health in 2022.
    This role is for registered Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, or Psychiatrists.
  2. Health Based Place of Safety (HBPoS): Provides assessment and care for individuals experiencing an acute mental health crisis detained under Section 136 or 135(1). This is an opportunity to meet our clinical teams, learn about roles at Highgate Campus, and undertake assessments to fast-track your application. This role is only for qualified, registered, and experienced Nurses.

Salary: £46,419 to £55,046 per year, inclusive of inner HCAS.
