Job description

Location: Dummer, Basingstoke

Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 + Bonus

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Recruitment is a new specialism within the HR team. For the last 6 months we have successfully piloted in-house recruitment and we are now ready to expand the team, due to the growth of the employee base. We expect to recruit 180 to 200 roles in the next year. The environment is fast paced and ever changing, as we evolve to provide a high quality service to our customers across the 12 regional SCG offices.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to embark on a career with SCG. Reporting to the Recruitment Manager the role is potentially a springboard for the right person, to grow their existing skill set and have the opportunity to influence the introduction and evolution of new processes for the recruitment team. The successful candidate will be able to be resilient in an ever changing and high pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and operational support throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Assist in drafting job adverts and posting roles across our careers website and job boards.
  • Use jobsites to resource candidates using Boolean search strings.
  • Efficient sifting of candidate applications to select the strongest CVs for screening.
  • Schedule interviews, coordinate candidate communications, and manage logistics.
  • Liaise with candidates and hiring managers regarding interview feedback.
  • Maintain and update the recruitment tracking with accurate candidate data.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external agencies to support hiring activity.
  • Ensure a smooth candidate experience through the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Support pre-employment checks and onboarding coordination.
  • Assist in the running of our Graduate and Industrial Placement programmes, attending University fairs, liaising with students and hiring managers.
  • Take ownership of work experience placements, creating a program within SCG that fulfils the requirements of the schools and colleges.
  • Ensure compliance with recruitment policies and employment legislation.
Skills & Experience

  • GCSE English and Maths and education to A level standard. Having a degree is desirable but not essential.
