Job Description:

Location: London, United Kingdom

Type: Full-time

Salary: £34,000- £45,000 OTE

About us: Zen is revolutionising education. Schools spend over £2bn a year on agency staff, and £600m of that goes directly to recruitment agencies. We’ve built an alternative. Our online platform gives schools instant access to hundreds of profiles of fully vetted teachers and support staff. Since launching in 2017, we’ve saved schools over £14m, money that goes straight back into school budgets and increases teachers’ pay. We’re expanding and reaching out to numerous schools to lend our support! With offices in Birmingham, Bristol, London, Turo, and Cardiff, if you're interested in roles in these locations, we’d love to hear from you.

The opportunity: Join a fast-growing tech startup. We’re passionate about professional development and will support your personal and career growth. We value enthusiastic, mission-driven people who align with our values. Apply even if your experience doesn’t exactly match the job description.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage relationships with secondary schools, support expansion, and develop new business
  • Guide school leaders through recruitment processes using a consultative approach
  • Call schools and build a pipeline
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and tech teams to improve efficiency and deliver value
  • Be proactive and hands-on; no two weeks are the same in a startup environment

What we're looking for:

  • A high performer eager to be part of a motivated team
  • Proven ability to meet targets
  • Confidence in outbound sales and handling objections
  • Growth mindset and dedication to professional development
  • Passion for social impact and education
  • Strong action bias and willingness to learn on the job

What's in it for you?

  • Engaging work that you can be proud of
  • Competitive salary
  • Ownership in the company
  • 25 days holiday
  • Central London office with perks (fruit, yoga, bike parking, showers, gym, café)
  • A fun, close-knit team making a difference

  • Life and health insurance
  • Electric Car Scheme
