Job summary

Manchester City Football Club is seeking a Recruitment Coaching and Development Manager to lead the day-to-day recruitment coaching across the Junior Academy in Manchester. You will set standards, manage coaches, and help ensure sessions align with the club’s player development priorities.

You will work closely with the Talent ID team, mentor coaches, and maintain accurate logs and records while engaging with parents during the recruitment phase.

Qualifications

• FA Advanced Youth Award and UEFA B Licence with Talent Identification Level 2.
• Experience in an academy or structured player development environment.
• Experience leading or coordinating coaching staff.
• Ability to deliver high-quality coaching sessions aligned to a player development framework.
• Strong communication with parents and young players.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills for planning recruitment activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery of recruitment coaching across the Junior Academy.
• Set standards for session quality, organisation and player experience.
• Manage and coordinate local Recruitment Coaching team.
• Plan and deliver recruitment sessions and events.
• Mentor coaches through observation, feedback and development.
• Maintain coaching records and session logs.
• Collaborate with Talent ID team on profiling requirements and reporting.
• Act as a link for parents during the recruitment phase.
